Obama’s Recess-Appointed Medicare Czar Refuses to Answer Questions

You remember Donald Berwick, right?  He was a recess appointee by Obama for the role of Medicare Czar.  He is the man who believes in the redistribution of wealth;  “Any health care funding plan that is just, equitable, civilized and humane must – must – redistribute wealth from the richer among us to the poorer and the less fortunate.”

As for healthcare rationing, in his own words, “The decision is not whether or not we will ration care. The decision will be whether we ration care with our eyes open.”

It’s been three months now since his recess appointment, and still no word from the new CMS director, Donal Berwick. In fact, Berwick hasn’t granted any interviews, refuses to testify before Congress, and doesn’t take any questions at public events.

To put this in perspective, Donald Berwick oversees the healthcare spending for one-in-three Americans and, as the New York Times put it, “has a budget bigger than the Pentagon’s.”

Be afraid, be very afraid…
