Have you heard of this? A New York City union member who blogs at a website called “Blue Collar Corner” posted a “9/11 Hard Hat Pledge”. This pledge states that he would not work on the mosque at ground zero.
Apparently, other union members are also signing on to the pledge.
Each union member who takes the pledge to not work on the Ground Zero Mosque will be given stickers to put on their hard hats in protest of the mosque.
Enter Mike Huckabee – Huckabee has announced that he will be in Florida tomorrow to stump on McCollum’s behalf, as well as district 24 candidate Karen Diebel and district 8 candidate Daniel Webster, leaving little suspense as to who the ‘establishment’ supports.
At a time when America desperately needs a break from the politics of old, the solution offered here is of the same; career politicians.
And, with Huckabee’s eyes set on 2012, is there any doubt as to his motivation? You don’t get the White House without Florida.

Well, I finally did it – I voted today!
True to my nature, I procrastinated until the next to last day of early voting to do the deed.
Walking into the West Oaks Branch Library, proudly wearing my ‘November is Coming’ t-shirt, complimentary of Americans for Prosperity, the poll workers sensed right away that I was a voter to be reckoned with.
Armed with knowledge and determination, I felt powerful. I was fulfilling the role our Founding Fathers intended for the citizens of this country by taking responsibility for it’s future direction.
Last week I received a phone call from my brother who was at a Tea Party in Polk County. He mentioned that he had just seen Mike McCalister speak to their group and that we should consider having him come to our group to speak.
I replied “who is Mike McCalister”. Come to find out he is on the Republican ticket in the primary against McCollum and Scott.
