So, just who is funding Alan Grayson’s bid for re-election? After some brief research on OpenSecrets.org, the list reads as one would expect for a far left Progressive ideologue.
ActBlue is the largest contributor at $66,912. ActBlue bills itself as “the online clearinghouse for Democratic action.” As a federally registered political action committee, it serves as a conduit for online contributions to Democratic candidates and committees.
George Soro’s MoveOn.org is the second largest contributor with $17,049 – proof positive that Grayson is a darling of the extreme left.
No surprise that labor unions are well represented. In fact, if you combine all union contributions, they are Grayson’s top financial supporters. It certainly explains Grayson’s 100% support for all the pro-union legislation coming out of the House over the past year. With virtually all union pension funds upside down, one has to wonder if rank and file union members support the generous use of their dues.
Of course, these same members are up the creek without a paddle unless the federal government bails out these pension funds, which may explain their generosity in gaining favor with the Democrats.
Also prominently listed on the list of donors are several Democrat leadership PAC’s, including Nancy Pelosi’s ‘PAC To The Future’ (do you expect anything more in a name from Pelosi?), Democrat Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer’s AmeriPAC and BRIDGE PAC. Grayson’s reward for all the favorable votes in support of Nancy Pelosi’s liberal, big spending agenda? Goes without saying…
