Webster Victory Statement
ORLANDO, FL – Daniel Webster, the Republican nominee for US Congress in Florida’s 8th Congressional District issues the following statement regarding his overwhelming victory in the Republican Primary yesterday.
“I’d like to thank my family, and especially my wife Sandy. They are the most important people in my life,” said Daniel Webster. “To all the voters of Congressional District 8: Thank you for capturing our vision and sharing our message. I am honored to accept the nomination to be your Republican Candidate for US Congress!”
Webster also recognized the other Republicans in the race, “To every candidate who had the courage to run in this race. Their honor and love for our country is a reflection of America’s rising concern for the direction of our nation. We have sharpened each other, and I look forward to working with them as we join together to take back our country this November!”
“Rather than being in touch with the American people, Congress’ answer is buyouts and payoffs – all in the name of helping the economy,” stated Webster. “Washington is broken. It is too petty, too proud, too pious, too partisan, and it’s based on power – not principle. What our founders created was a Constitution that focused on principles: limited government, lower taxes, and basic freedoms. Rather than allowing power to take over and control our country, we need to rise up and return to our founding principles.”
Webster concluded, “I want to help save America. We won’t fix this mess with screams and threats, but by renewing the spirit of American ingenuity, character and values that made this country great. When we do, the whole world will listen…all over again.”
Daniel Webster, a family man and small-business owner, has dedicated himself to serve the citizens of central Florida with honor and integrity. Daniel Webster served as Majority Leader of the Florida Senate and the first GOP Speaker of the House in over a century.
