Chair of the Congressional Health Care Caucus, Congressman Mike Burgess, M.D. Endorses Diebel

Diebel Reaffirms Pledge to Defund Obamacare & Fight for Market-Based Reforms

Congressman Mike Burgess, M.D. (R-TX), the Chairman and Founder of the Congressional Health Care Caucus, endorses Karen Diebel in her campaign to replace Suzanne Kosmas.

Dr. Burgess said, “I know Karen Diebel will be a leader in the fight to repeal and replace Obamacare with common-sense reforms that will actually improve our health care system. Most importantly, she’ll join me in voting to defund the Obamacare legislation until we can repeal and replace it.”

The Congressman recently attended a physician to physician discussion on health care policy hosted by the Diebel campaign and other local doctors supporting Karen Diebel.

“Karen Diebel brings a refreshing, solutions-oriented approach to governing. I am looking forward to her primary victory next week,” the Congressman concluded.

Karen Diebel welcomed the endorsement, “I am proud of the work Dr. Burgess has done in Congress and look forward to serving with him and continuing to make a difference in health care.”

Karen co-founded the N. Donald Diebel Jr. M.D. Good Samaritan Fund in 2004, in memory of her late husband. In partnership with Shepherd’s Hope, the Dr. Diebel Jr. Memorial Health Center provides care for more than 2,000 men, women, and children annually.

Dr. Burgess joins Governor Mike Huckabee, Congressman Brian Bilbray, Concerned Women for America PAC, and many others supporting Diebel’s candidacy.

Recently, Karen Diebel signed the Restore the Dream Foundation’s pledge to defund Obamacare. The pledge states:

As an Executive Director at Verizon Business, Karen Diebel helps companies grow by finding solutions to complex technological challenges. She earned a spot on the Orlando Business Journal’s 2009 list of “Women Who Mean Business.”

She is a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Winter Park and a graduate of the University of Notre Dame (B.B.A., Finance). Karen received her M.B.A. from the University of South Florida.

Karen lives in Winter Park with her three sons: Conor, age 14, Liam, age 12, and Nicholas, age 11.
