Sager Pledges to Support Ryan Roadmap for Social Security

I pledge no changes to Social Security for Seniors over 55.  I support Paul Ryan’s “Roadmap for America’s Future”plan for long term Social Security Reform. – Jason Sager

Brooksville, FL, August 13, 2010 – Jason Sager sent a letter today to Representative Paul Ryan expressing his support for Title III and Title IV of the “Roadmap for America’s Future.”

With regard to this legislation, Jason explained, “Social Security as it exists today is unsustainable and also unconstitutional. Still, we have made a promise to our seniors and it would be immoral to abandon or change the program for those who are currently receiving benefits, or are counting on those benefits to be there for their upcoming retirement. There is already over $100 trillion in unfunded liabilities related to our entitlement programs. The Ryan plan works to resolve this issue over three generations. We have to start working on this issue now. I won’t just ‘kick the issue down the road’ like other politicians. We can’t keep putting our children and grandchildren deeper into debt.”

So that the people of District 5 know where Jason Sager stands on this issue, he has signed a written pledge with regard to Social Security and his support for the Ryan plan.
