New Smyrna Beach Mayor Adam Barringer Endorses Craig Miller

Seminole County Republican businessman Craig Miller, candidate for District 24’s U.S. Congressional Seat, today announced that he has been endorsed by New Smyrna Beach Mayor Adam Barringer. Mayor Barringer has lived in the New Smyrna Beach area since 1979 where he attended junior high and high school. He enjoyed a successful career in hospitality with OSI Restaurant Partners (Outback Steakhouse and Bonefish Grill) and is currently a principle owner of Barringer Construction, Inc., and co-founder of SoNapa Wine Company, a California Style restaurant. Mayor Barringer is also a member of the Volusia Council of Governments Executive Board and an active participant of the Volusia League of Cities and the Florida League of Cities.

“Mayor Barringer is not only a respected elected official, but has been a leader in the local hospitality and construction industry,” stated Craig Miller.

“Adam’s commitment to his community and his business background make him uniquely positioned to understand the needs and hopes of the people of New Smyrna Beach. He is in touch with the people that he represents and wants what is best for them. This endorsement means a lot to me because he understands that we need a new voice and leadership in Washington. Ms. Kosmas’s votes for handouts, bailouts, cap and trade, card check and then her flip-flop on the federal government takeover of Health Care clearly demonstrated she does not reflect the views of the hard working people of Volusia County. She quite simply does not listen to us; she only listens to Pelosi and Obama.”

When Craig was just 13 he went to work washing dishes at the Neptune Restaurant in Rockledge, Florida. He graduated from Cocoa High and served in Vietnam. He was stationed at McCoy and Patrick Air Force Bases. He met his wife Susan while working at the Colony Theater in Winter Park and then graduated from UCF. Craig led Pizzeria Uno and Ruth’s Chris Steak House – creating thousands of jobs and building hundreds of restaurants across America. Craig lives in Seminole County with his wife Susan and is the father of three grown children and one grandchild. His mother and sister still live in Brevard County.
