Editor’s Note – You may remember Rep. Sherman, he was the Congressman who claimed that he did not know of the Black Panther voter intimidation case.

Before you get your hopes up from the above head, whereas, Sherman does ask Eric Holder to reopen the case – apparently Sherman has now heard of it – he also includes six lessor cases from the Bush administration.

Los like he’s trying to kill two birds with one stone here. Considering the reaction by his constituency when he claimed to know nothing of the case, it’s clear this move is an attempt at damage control, however, to ensure that he placates the radical left that now control the Democrat Party, he throws in the outdated cases that occurred during Bush’s term.

Commander Tom Garcia has won the the endorsement of iCaucus in his bid for the Republican nomination to face U.S. Representative Suzanne Kosmas (D).

The goal of iCaucus is to find, vet, endorse and then help principled candidates. Members nationwide vote on candidates after receiving their questionnaire and a lengthy interview process. ICuacus promotes limited government. fiscal responsibility, adherence to Constitutional authority and representation of the people to Washington.

Senator Chuck Shumer (D) is working very hard to find one Republican that will support the DISCLOSE Act, which is scheduled to come to the floor today for a cloture vote, effectively ending a Republican filibuster.

It includes several exemptions for large interest groups, including the National Rifle Association, Sierra Club, and labor unions.

And, some wonder why the NRA is suddenly warming up to Harry Reid? In the spirit of the ‘Cornhusker Kickback’, could this be the CYA by the NRA?

Of course, Schumer is fishing the same New England waters for this one Republican vote, although it appears that he can cross one of the three targets off, Sen. Susan Collins of Maine.

I want you to know why I am supporting Todd Long in the Republican primary for Congress in District 8. Todd and his wife Ninette are Christians who believe strongly in the values and government principles of our Founding Fathers and President Reagan.

Todd is the only candidate in the race who stood up to the failed Republican Congress running against (and almost defeating) incumbent Ric Keller in the 2008 election.

In a press conference that was scheduled on Rep. Alan Grayson’s doorstep, district 8 Republican congressional candidate Todd Long announced poll results showing that he outpaces incumbent Democrat Grayson in a head to head match up.

The poll was conducted by Zogby International and shows that among likely voters, Todd Long has an eight point lead over Grayson. It also notes that Long holds a 17 point lead amongst registered Independents and a 13 point lead amongst Hispanic voters.
