Bondi Campaign Calls On Kottkamp To Stop The Gutter Politics

Kottkamp admits in debate that he personally distributed hearsay to cast political dirt on opponent Pam Bondi.

ORLANDO, Fla. – — Today, in the first televised debate featuring the three candidates for the Republican nomination for Attorney General, Jeff Kottkamp acknowledged that he had authorized the use of his own e-mail messages to launch a gratuitous and personal attack on his opponent Pam Bondi.

Campaign general consultant Brett Doster offered up the following statement in response:

“It is disappointing that when the voters are looking for so much more in their elected officials that Jeff Kottkamp would stoop to this level of gutter politics. It is a clear sign that he is desperate and has no confidence that his agenda will persuade voters that he should be the next Attorney General.

“We are glad that the truth is out, but we ask that Kottkamp re-think his dirty campaign tricks. What the voters need right now is an Attorney General who will maintain the highest of ethical standards and will be a strong advocate for defending their constitutional rights. These recent actions show that Mr. Kottkamp is not fit for the job.”
