Bondi Wins Convincingly In Another Straw Poll

Orange County Young Republicans host political hobnob at the Orange Bowl; nearly 500 participate.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Today, the Pam Bondi campaign announced another convincing victory in a straw poll. Last night, the Orange County Young Republicans held their Political Hob Nob at the Orange Bowl in Orlando. Nearly 500 party activisits and interested voters attended the event and participated in the straw poll votes of 20 statewide and local elections.

The results in the Attorney General race are as follows:

Pam Bondi — 129 votes (48%)

Jeff Kottkamp — 81 votes (30%)

Holly Benson — 56 votes (21%)

“The energy at the Orange Bowl last night was exciting,” said candidate Pam Bondi. “I am greatly encouraged by the level of engagement from the voters across the state, and we continue to receive positive response to our conservative message and our commitment to take on the federal government on healthcare.”

Straw polls are not binding but are an indication of how party activists will vote and organize their grassroots operations, which are especially important in primary elections.

Bondi has now won victories in multiple straw polls across the state, including the following: Orlando Tea Party (Bondi: 72%); Tampa Bay Young Republicans (Bondi: 85%); Pinellas County Republican Committee (Bondi: 74%); Volusia County Republican Committee (Bondi: 83%); Seminole County Republican Committee (Bondi: 64%); Leon County Republican Committee (Bondi: 49%); Hillsborough County Republican Committee (Bondi: 97%); and Florida Federation of Young Republicans (Bondi: 40%).
