235th Anniversary of 'Shot Heard 'Round the World'

Today, in 1775, the American Revolution began with the battles of Lexington and Concord.  It was the ’shot heard ’round the world.’  We will see little recognition of this in today’s media.  There is an ongoing effort to ‘scrub’ our history, and divert today’s citizen away from our true American Heritage.
By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled;
Here once the embattled farmers stood;
And fired the shot heard round the world.

Ralph Waldo Emerson 1837
