Vice President Kamala Harris appeared at the winter meeting of the Democratic National Committee on Saturday where she sought to deliver a pep talk to party loyalists who could be on the cusp of a historic electoral bloodbath this November.

Harris who had just returned from Europe bolstered spirits by talking tough about Putin and Ukraine, the only issue other than COVID where President Joe Biden’s approval ratings aren’t in the toilet and she also delivered a message to the crowd that the path to victory lies in reminding voters that the enormously unpopular duo had delivered the goods.

Speaking at the Washington Hilton, Harris emphasized that while avoiding catastrophic losses in the midterm is going to be a tough rock to roll that unity and staying on message will be enough to seal the deal with the American people.

“So, the work ahead is not going to be easy,” she said. “Everybody knows that, that’s why you all are here, knowing the work that must be done, knowing it’s not going to be easy, but knowing we are under one roof together, in solidarity, in our commitment to seeing this through.”

“I know, and I believe we know, when we show what we have accomplished just in a year, and when we show it is because the American people voted, I believe we will meet the moment again but that is our task,” the veep added. “Our task is to show people that, in many ways, they got what they ordered. Right?”

“They said this is what they wanted, they stood in line, they took time from work. It was difficult and a lot of what they demanded, they got,” Harris said.

While Harris has a true gift for dippy uplifting rhetoric which at times borders on incoherence, her insistence that Democrats can ride their accomplishments to avoiding the deep losses that many are predicting is likely wishful thinking with the American people getting the biggest reminder of the Biden administration’s “success” stories every time that they fill up their gas tanks and take a trip to the grocery store

Some of those voters took to Twitter to post their reviews of Kamala’s message — Caution: Adult Language:

Biden also spoke to the troops at the DNC when he appeared on Friday to bolster morale by practicing some Jedi mind control on the adoring crowd.

“Look, coming out of the State of the Union, we are in the strongest position we’ve been in in months,” Biden said. “We have a record – a record to be proud of, an agenda that addresses the biggest concerns here in America, in people’s lives; the message that resonates.”

RNC spokeswoman Emma Vaughn provided some clarity in a statement, “Kamala Harris is returning to record gas prices, historic inflation, runaway crime, an open border, and a country moving in the wrong direction,” she said. “Biden and Harris have lost the trust of the American people — their agenda is destroying wallets, pitting Americans against each other, and weakening our standing on the world stage.”

Biden and Harris are only preaching to the choir, and it is shrinking faster than you can say record inflation.
