North Carolina Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson is facing calls for his resignation after a video of his remarks about homosexuality and transgenderism set off a firestorm that continues to build with a ferocious response from LGBTQ activists who are demanding that he be canceled.
Robinson, a Republican and conservative Christian who is the first black American to be elected as lieutenant governor in the Tarheel State, whacked the hornet’s nest when he delivered a at the Asbury Baptist Church, where he condemned the far-left ideology that is being taught in schools, including the toxic critical race theory and what many refer to as the “homosexual agenda,” which he called out as “filth.”
“There’s no reason anybody, anywhere in America should be telling children about transgenderism, homosexuality, any of that filth,” said Robinson.
The video, which was recorded in June was posted to Twitter by Right Wing Watch, a component of the far-left advocacy organization People for the American Way (PFAW). which was founded by legendary TV producer Norman Lear, who is best known for the iconic 1970os sitcoms including “All In The Family,” “Sanford and Son” and “The Jeffersons,” back in the day when television fare was more wholesome and not saturated with degeneracy.

“We have got to wrestle this away from those folks and I’m gonna tell you why,” Robinson said. “Because it is flat out child abuse to take your children and tell them they have to attend school, don’t have a choice and then some of them will tell them that they don’t want you to have a choice where they go to school. Then when they get there what do they teach them?”
“They teach them a bunch of stuff about how to hate America, teach them a bunch of stuff about why they are racists, teach them a bunch of stuff about transgenderism and homosexuality,” he added, railing against the radicalism of leftist teachers, before dropping the F-bomb that could cost him his job.
Reaction to the video was swift and severe, leading all the way to the White House which lashed out against Robinson in a statement from deputy press secretary Andrew Bates.
“These words are repugnant and offensive. The role of a leader is to bring people together and stand up for the dignity and rights of everyone; not to spread hate and undermine their own office,” said the North Carolina native, according to the Washington Blade, which touts itself as “America’s LGBTQ news source.”
The mighty Human Rights Campaign, which is the spearhead for the relentless advancement of the LGBTQ agenda through America’s institutions, released a statement demanding that Robinson step down.
“We are calling on Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson to resign for his disgraceful, hateful statements directed at LGBTQ+ people. If Lt. Governor Robinson still doesn’t understand how anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric is received in North Carolina, he should ask former Governor Pat McCrory. This is not the first time Robinson has shared his discriminatory views, but it should be the last time he gets away with it as an elected leader.” The organization wrote.
Robinson isn’t backing down and in a video posted to Facebook on Saturday said, “Let me tell you plainly right here and right now, I will not back down,”
He added, “I will not be silenced and I will not be bullied into submission. I will continue to fight for the rights of our children to receive an education that is free from sexual concepts that do not belong in the classroom.”
Earlier this year, the Lt. Governor set up a task force called Fairness and Accountability in the Classroom for Teachers and Students (FACTS) including a website where parents could report classroom indoctrination.
The focus on Robinson’s use of the word “filth” serves to distract from the true nature of the insidious brainwashing that is being carried out against the nation’s youngest and most impressionable minds, something that parents are only now becoming fully aware of and are fighting back.
The battle for America’s soul is playing out in the nation’s classrooms and those who dare to speak out will face fierce retaliation by a political left that has become a revolutionary force.
