Lou Dobbs puts a point on the end of Mueller: ‘Trump prevailed against evil forces … deep state writhing in pain in bright light of truth’

Fox Business host Lou Dobbs celebrated a “grand day” in the nation as efforts to “overthrow” President Donald Trump came to an end – for now.

“It has been a great day, a grand day, in America. The radical Dems, the national left-wing media, the RINO establishment, the deep state all seemingly writhing in pain today in the bright light of truth,” Dobbs kicked off “Lou Dobbs Tonight” on Monday, adding that the president stands “vindicated.”

Trump himself reacted to the “illegal takedown” following the special counsel’s submission of his final report to Attorney General William Barr, who announced in a summary letter on Sunday that the president and his campaign had not colluded with Russia during the 2016 election.

The president and his family endured the “venom of the radical left” Dobbs noted, adding that Trump “prevailed against the evil forces that, for a time, challenged the republic itself.”

He also tipped his hat to Barr, saying the attorney general took charge of the DOJ “in the nick of time,” as the “corrupt tactics of the FBI and the political corruption of the Department of Justice were meant, from the very beginning, to overthrow a sitting president.”

Even in the wake of Mueller’s report being submitted and Barr’s summary, the left was in denial, accusing the attorney general of rushing to issue his letter and even suggesting there was a cover-up.

Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel told Dobbs it was “shameful” that there has been a “cloud” over Trump’s presidency for so long.

“Democrats have, for two years, accused our president of being an agent for a foreign country. They put that narrative forward over and over again with the media being totally complicit,” she said.

“The media has been shameful, there needs to be a reckoning. I am glad that president has been found to have not colluded,” McDaniel added. “But I do not want to gloss over what just happened over last two years. It has been dangerous for our democracy that we not had objectivity in our media enough to look at the facts of this case.”

That lack of objectivity was on full display as the mainstream media went into a tailspin after Mueller wrapped up his investigation with no further indictments.

“We need to find a way to get truth back in journalism,” McDaniel told Dobbs.

“It’s very important for every American to understand that the fake news is exactly what the president called it and it is exactly what it has been,” Dobbs agreed.

Former White House adviser Steve Bannon warned that the end of Mueller’s investigation means Trump will soon “go full animal” against his political enemies.

The president seemed to follow through on that, firing off a scathing rebuke of the media and the “Russian Collusion Delusion” in a tweet on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Trump’s campaign team is taking on the spread of “fake news” by calling on the media to “employ basic journalistic standards” when booking certain guests, such as former CIA Director John Brennan and Democratic California Rep. Adam Schiff.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’RE MISSING …

“At a minimum, if these guests do reappear, you should replay the prior statements and challenge them to provide the evidence which prompted them to make the wild claims in the first place,” the memo stated.
