Dem congressman death joke about POTUS is going to fly right by media because he’s black and it’s Trump

While speaking at a political rally, Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla., told a disturbing joke about not saving President Donald Trump should he be drowning.

That Hastings, a black man, joked that it would be a “catastrophe” to save the white president goes to show you who has real privilege in America, considering what the media reaction would have been had a white member of Congress made such a joke about former President Barack Obama.

“I will tell you one joke,” the Democratic lawmaker said. “Do you know the difference between a crisis and a catastrophe?”

“A crisis is if Donald Trump falls into the Potomac River and can’t swim,” Hastings said. “And a catastrophe is [if] anybody saves his ass.”

Hastings, a former district court judge of the S. Florida district, was impeached by the U.S. Seante in 1989 on charges of perjury and conspiring to solicit a bribe.

He is also know for his remark about rules when the Democratic Party was shoving Obamacare down America’s throat.

“When the deal goes down, all this talk about rules… we make ’em up as we go along,” Hasting said at the time.

When it comes to his latest deal, joking about the death of President Trump, social media users failed to find the humor in it.
