First lady Melania Trump stumbled on the White House lawn on Monday and was saved from impending disaster by President Donald Trump when he caught her.
The first couple was making their way to Marine One when Mrs. Trump, who was wearing sunglasses, a long navy blue coat and “a to-die-for pair of camel boots with chunky, sky-high heels,” as described by Hollywood Life, suddenly tripped.
The Trumps were traveling to Manchester Community College in New Hampshire, where the president spoke about the ongoing opioids epidemic.
It’s hard to say which was more impressive, those boots or President Trump’s agility in reacting to the scenario, preventing his wife from doing a face plant in front of the press.
The president quickly grabbed the first lady by her waist as she restored her balance and, boy, was she ever grateful!
The media seemed to be astonished that Melania was seen “allowing him to put his arm around her waist.”
Not only that, but she hugs him back, putting her arm around Trump as they have an intimate exchange.
Public displays of affection are rare from the first couple, and the touching moment caught people by surprise.
Especially with the controversy of porn star Stormy Daniels claiming to have had an affair with Trump still swirling about — Hollywood Life intimated that Melania must have “forgiven him.”
