NBC’s Chuck Todd complains about ‘odd photo’ Trump uses for Twitter background after Parkland shooting

After the tragic shooting in Parkland, Florida, where a murderer tragically took the lives of 17 innocent people, President Trump wanted to do something to show that he had the state in his thoughts and prayers.

NBC’s Chuck Todd noticed that President Trump changed his background on Twitter and remarked that it was an “odd photo” and an even “odder decision” to make it the background on his official account.

“Just an odd photo to have posed for and have taken and an even odder decision to make it THE background photo of a social media platform,” Todd wrote, while linking to the president’s Twitter page.

What was the “odd” photo that Trump chose to make his Twitter background? THIS:

That would be a photo that President Trump recently took with the Broward County Sheriff’s Department, Florida Governor Rick Scott, Florida Attorney General Pamela Bondi, and Senator Marco Rubio, along with the brave men and women who provide law enforcement.

What is “odd” about the president seeking to honor the law enforcement of Broward County? It just goes to show that mainstream media journalists will criticize the president for literally anything, even when he shows sympathy for victims who lost their lives and honors the men and women who put their lives on the line protecting American citizens.

Here are more photos that the president posted that petty mainstream media journalists can criticize.

And the medical professionals who provided care after the Parkland shooting tragedy:

The president honored the dedication and sacrifice of those who rushed to protect citizens and provide care for the victims.

“Our entire Nation, w/one heavy heart, continues to pray for the victims & their families in Parkland, FL. To teachers, law enforcement, first responders & medical professionals who responded so bravely in the face of danger: We THANK YOU for your courage!” the president wrote.

Of all the things to criticize the president for in this time of national mourning, there certainly are better things than the president doing something special to show solidarity with Parkland victims and honor the law enforcement who put their lives on the line responding to such horrible crimes.
