Fever-pitch after vote to release FISA memo detailing DOJ and FBI abusive spying on Trump camp

Democrats are furious that Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee voted to release the FISA memo reportedly detailing government surveillance abuses that resulted in the illegal spying-on of Trump campaign officials.

Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the committee, called it a “very sad day” after the vote, which went along party lines. “Today this committee voted to put the president’s personal interests, perhaps their own political interests, above the national interests,” he said.

Democrats apparently don’t want Americans to know that the FBI and DOJ may have been weaponized by Barack Obama to illegally spy on Donald Trump when he was a private citizen running for president against his pal, Hillary Clinton.

President Trump now has five days to decide if he has any objections to the memo being made public. If he doesn’t, the memo will be released publicly.

Panicked FBI sent 5 officials to WH to block memo detailing Obama surveillance abuses

In the four-page memo compiled by the House Intelligence Committee, GOP lawmakers described the “alarming” and “shocking” abuses of the Obama FBI and DOJ to spy on Donald Trump for political purposes.

Republicans who read the memo say the Obama FBI and DOJ used the unverified, discredited “Trump dossier” to obtain a bogus FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) court warrant to spy on Trump campaign officials.

But Democrats like Adam Schiff and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi vehemently oppose releasing the memo. “[It] crossed from dangerous irresponsibility and disregard for our national security into the realm of cover-up,” Pelosi said, even though it is Democrats who want to cover up the memo.

Republican Trey Gowdy, who helped write the four-page memo, said the public deserves to know about possible government surveillance abuses.

“If you think your viewers want to know whether or not the dossier was used in court proceedings, whether or not it was vetted before it was used, whether or not it’s ever been vetted — if you are interested in who paid for the dossier, if you are interested in Christopher Steele’s relationship with Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee, then, yes, you will want the memo to come out,” Gowdy told Fox News.

Interestingly, Democrats had no problem when one of their own, Senator Dianne Feinstein, unilaterally released the testimony of Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson before the Senate Judiciary Committee without telling the committee’s Republican chairman Chuck Grassley.

And what was Feinstein’s brilliant excuse for the unilateral decision? “Slow mental facilities,” said the 84-year-old Democrat.

Keep in mind that after a year-long investigation, special counsel Robert Mueller has produced no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Meanwhile, liberals are furious that Republicans think the American public deserves to know how corrupt the FBI and DOJ can be.

Many on Twitter mocked the liberal hypocrisy.

Here’s a suggestion: Have Hillary Clinton read the memo on TV. You know, since she had such a blast during her bizarre Grammys cameo.
