DOJ finds FBI’s missing texts, Hannity breaks news on air: ‘This is so much bigger than Watergate’

Fox News host Sean Hannity said the Department of Justice has recovered some of the thousands of “missing” texts between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, the anti-Trump FBI officials who worked on Robert Mueller’s team.

“The Department of Justice has now started and is recovering some of the 5 months of missing text messages from Trump-hating FBI agent Peter Strzok and [FBI attorney] Lisa Page,” Hannity said.

The FBI recently admitted that it “failed to preserve” texts exchanged between Peter Strzok — the deputy director of the FBI Counterintelligence Division — and his mistress Lisa Page, an FBI attorney, between December 14, 2016 and May 17, 2017.

Strzok — a Hillary superfan — oversaw the Russian election-meddling probe and also supervised the Hillary Clinton email investigation that resulted in no charges.

The FBI blamed a technical glitch for the its shocking failure to preserve key evidence. But FBI sources told Hannity this week that they have recovered the texts.

The 5 months of “missing” texts cover a critical period of time amid bombshell revelations that a “Secret Society” existed in the upper levels of the FBI and the DOJ that would sabotage Donald Trump if he got elected president.

The missing 5 months spans President Trump’s inauguration, the firings of National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and FBI Director James Comey, and the appointment of former Obama FBI Director Robert Mueller as special counsel.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions vowed the DOJ would leave “no stone unturned” to recover the lost messages. Hannity said the recovery process has already begun.

In the 50,000 anti-Trump, pro-Hillary texts that were uncovered this fall, Strzok and Page mocked President Trump as “an idiot” and a “menace” and discussed what they should do to keep him from defeating their heroine, Hillary Clinton. They also discussed what they should do to sabotage and undermine Trump if he got elected.

The Mueller investigation has come under fire amid an amateurish series of epic screw-ups that suggest the special counsel’s team is too partisan and unprofessional to do their jobs properly.

Even more stunning: After a year of exhaustive investigations, Mueller has still produced no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Sean Hannity said the American public needs to know the truth about the treasonous, Deep State actors within the upper levels of the FBI and the DOJ who are trying to sabotage a duly elected United States president. “The walls are closing in on those responsible for this massive corruption and abuse of power at the top levels of government,” he said.

Hannity continued: “This, so you understand, is so much bigger than Watergate. It’s about our Constitution, about the rule of law. It has been shredded. All because powerful people at the highest levels in the DOJ and the FBI thought they knew better than you as to who should be president. There needs to be serious ramifications if we are going to save our country. People must be held accountable, they must be investigated, they must be indicted, and probably many of them thrown in jail.”

UPDATE: All of the “missing” FBI texts have mysteriously been found. In a letter to congressional committees, DOJ Inspector General, Michael Horowitz, said his office “succeeded in using forensic tools to recover text messages from FBI devices, including text messages between Mr. Strzok and Ms. Page that were sent or received between December 14, 2016 and May 17, 2017.”

All it took to recover thousands of “lost” FBI texts was a little political pressure and lots of public outrage. Imagine that.
