Corey Booker’s “tears of rage” rant over Trump’s reported “sh*thole” comment at a closed-door DACA meeting last week was all the rage on Tuesday.
“I hurt. When Dick Durbin called me, I had tears of rage when I heard about his experience in that meeting,” Booker said at a Senate hearing with DHS Sec. Nielsen, who denied hearing the reported phrase.
“And for you not to feel that hurt, and that pain,” Booker continued, “and to dismiss the questions of some of my colleagues, saying I’ve already answered that line of questions, when tens of millions of Americans are hurting right now because of what they’re worried about what happened in the White House. That’s unacceptable to me.”
Nielsen’s reaction during the Booker grandstanding? Fire. Watch at 0:39:
Sen. Cory Booker: "When the commander-in-chief speaks or refuses to speak, those words don't just dissipate like mist in the air. They fester. They become poison. They give license to bigotry and hate in our country." https://t.co/KFBQT4lwKj pic.twitter.com/mRbyeW1xq4

You're gonna have Kirsten Gillibland, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, and Oprah on the debate stage, and Cory is gonna be the softest one up there by a mile.

I think maybe, just maybe, Cory Booker wants to be president. https://t.co/ipBm3J70dP

Nothing reveals there’s “Two Americas” like Corey Booker’s “tears of rage” speech. While he’s likely to draw rave reviews from the Resistance media, conservatives are calling it out as blatant grandstanding.
