Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton believes that anyone other than Hillary Clinton found in violation of security clearances would undoubtedly face criminal prosecution.
The protection of Clinton and her aide Huma Abedin in the investigation of Clinton’s non-secure email server are widely recognized as a “scam” Fitton told Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Thursday.
Fitton was on hand to discuss the discovery, thanks to Judicial Watch litigation, of classified information from Hillary Clinton’s email server which was found on the laptop belonging to Abedin’s former husband, Anthony Weiner. At least 18 classified messages were found on the disgraced former New York congressman’s laptop, which was seized by the FBI before he was sentenced to jail.
Fitton noted it took two years and a federal lawsuit to secure the records which were held by the State Department.

“We found out about Clinton’s email server back in 2015. We knew Huma Abedin had an email account on that server, we asked her for her emails. They eventually found some additional emails on the Weiner laptop that were government records,” Fitton explained.
“Again, these are classified records that James Comey and his colleagues at the FBI knew were on the Weiner laptop but didn’t think serious enough to pursue criminal charges against Abedin or Clinton for allowing this egregious abuse of trust that the America people placed in them,” he added.
“If you had this many classified documents on your laptop, what would the consequences be?” Carlson asked.
“You’d lose your security clearance almost initially, and you would be subject to a criminal investigation and perhaps prosecution. And it wasn’t just the low-level classified materials that were found in the Clinton email server, but there were highly top-secret documents, of the most secure type,” Fitton replied.

“And it would have resulted in criminal prosecution, I guarantee you, for you or anyone else but the Democratic nominee for the president,” he added.
“There are four and a half billion people with security clearances,” the watchdog organization president concluded. “They all know this is a scam the way Hillary Clinton and Huma Abedin have been protected.”
“So a system that crushes ordinary people protects the powerful and well-connected,” Carlson noted.
