CNN’s new image: Host in pot leaf earrings lights up a bong on air in New Year’s Eve report

“Journalists” at CNN really love doing their New Year’s Eve show.

Randi Kaye reported to the network’s main hosts in New York City from Denver and gave CNN’s resident party man Don Lemon a run for his money.

“This is for you, Andy!” Kaye said as she held a marijuana cigarette most commonly referred to as a joint.

Pot is legal in Denver and Kaye appeared fascinated with the stoned revelers and their paraphernalia, which included a gas mask connected to a bong.

While reporting to CNN hosts Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen who were taping in New York wearing matching sweaters, Cooper was quick to remind that it was all on the up and up.

“I just want to point out that this is all legal in Colorado,” Cooper said.

While it didn’t appear Kaye partook in the pot smoking (at least on camera) her disheveled and dazed demeanor led many to question if she was stoned.

“We’re at a dispensary called the Medicine Man!” Kaye, said while wearing marijuana leaf earrings.

“I’m trying to remember where we are. Where am I?”

More video shows Kaye showing off a gas mask that was attached to a bong:

Meanwhile, CNN’s Brooke Baldwin and Don Lemon were getting their party on in New Orleans.

Good thing for Lemon pot isn’t legal in New Orleans. Looks like he didn’t need it.

As they reported the New Year’s Eve festivities, Lemon drunkenly danced on bartops and sang out of tune for the network’s viewers. As they say, New Year’s Eve is “amateur” night, and we certainly know, CNN’s got its fill of those.
