Linda Sarsour accused of enabling sexual assault, shaming employee for telling – more victims coming

Liberals rarely practice what they preach.

In a shocking report, a former employee of the Arab American Association told the The Daily Caller that she was harassed for making sexual assault claims by the organization’s former executive director, women’s rights activist and Palestine advocate Linda Sarsour.

Asmi Fathelbab, the alleged victim, said she was subjected to repeated groping and unwanted touching by Majed Seif, a man who lived in the same building where the Arab American Association’s offices are located.

“He would sneak up on me during times when no one was around, he would touch me, you could hear me scream at the top of my lungs,” Fathelbab told the Daily Caller. “He would pin me against the wall and rub his crotch on me.”

Fathelbab claimed she told Sarsour and other Arab American Association leaders of the alleged assault, but her accusations were dismissed because they considered Seif to be a “good Muslim.”

Sarsour allegedly dismissed Fathelbab’s situation by body-shaming her.

April Ryan finally gets her pie, and it changes everything!

“[Sarsour] called me a liar because ‘Something like this didn’t happen to women who looked like me,'” the former employee recounted to the Daily Caller, referring to her weight. “How dare I interrupt her TV news interview in the other room with my ‘lies.'”

Fathelbab also said she went to Ahmed Jaber, president of the board of directors, to no avail.

“Jaber told me my stalker was a ‘God-fearing man’ who was ‘always at the Mosque,’ so he wouldn’t do something like that. He wanted to make it loud and clear this guy was a good Muslim and I was a bad Muslim for ‘complaining.'”

The distraught employee detailed the emotional distress she allegedly felt on a regular basis.

“It was disgusting. I ran the youth program in the building and with that comes bending down and talking to small children. You have no idea what it was like to stand up and feel that behind you. I couldn’t scream because I didn’t want to scare the child in front of me. It left me shaking.”

She added that “I wanted to be able to go home without the worries of him waiting to grab me in front of my house to rape me.”

Desperate, Fathelbab said she tried appealing to AmeriCorps, the program through which she was contracted at the Arab American Association.

“I was under an AmeriCorps contract and they had sent me a message asking how I liked my job and to rate how safe it was etc. I told them the truth. I told them I did not feel safe. I told them I did not want to be there anymore. I told them to find anywhere else to place me.

“I received a call from the supervisor from Detroit where she asked me to tell her in detail what was happening and told me she’d take care of it.

I thought I was saved and everything would be OK until I received a call from her the next day calling me a liar, threatening to cancel my contract and write me up. At the same time, Linda Sarsour was informing me that she would make sure I would never work in New York City ever again for as long as she lived.”

Fathelbab claimed Sarsour fulfilled her promise when the employee’s contract expired.

“She’s kept her word. She had me fired from other jobs when she found out where I worked. She has kept me from obtaining any sort of steady employment for almost a decade.”

One one occasion, Fathelbab was even allegedly threatened with arrest.

“I had a visit from a community liaison Detective from the NYPD. He came to my office locked the door and proceed to tell me he was there to arrest me for making a false statement regarding being stalked, sexually harassed and sexually assaulted.”

Fathelbab’s story was corroborated by two people who knew her during her time with the Arab American Association.

They recalled to Daily Caller that Fathelbab would return from work “emotionally distressed and in a panic.”

A New York political operative who worked with the organization for 12 years told the Daily Caller, “They made it about her weight, saying she was not attractive enough to be harassed and then swept it under the rug. It was Linda Sarsour, Ahmad Jaber and Habib Joudeh who took care of it.”

The anonymous source also confirmed the identity of Majed Seif without prompting.

According to the operative, “It’s always going to be the woman’s fault over there. And Sarsour was there to protect the men. She’s not for other women. The only women she’s for is for herself.”

Another New York political insider attacked Sarsour’s feminist record.

“Sarsour is only a feminist outwardly,” the insider said. “Her interactions toward women in that building were atrocious. She would protect the patriarchy and in return they would promote her.”

Fathelbab claimed the #MeToo movement and Sarsour’s role as a women’s activist prompted her to speak out.

“I cannot stand by any longer and watch everyone praise a woman that claims to be for women’s rights and someone that fights for women when she herself allowed for abuse to occur to women,” she said.

She also said there were other victims.

“This is not the only story pertaining to Sarsour about what she does to women.  This is one of many,” she said.

Fathelbab intimated that others will come forward.

“Just wait until more people start to talk,” she said.  “Sarsour is no champion of women. She is an abuser of them.”
