Justin Trudeau unexpectedly gushes about President Trump: He was elected to make America great again

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had nothing but praise for President Donald Trump even though the U.S. leader’s political views are the polar opposite of his own ultra-liberal stances.

“Donald Trump has demonstrated that he’s a bit of a disruptive force. He does unpredictable things,” Trudeau told CTV. “He’s a deal-maker. He’s a negotiator.”

Proving that the U.S. president doesn’t have to be a conciliatory apologist for American exceptionalism (like Barack Obama was) to be respected by other world leaders, Trudeau said he’s optimistic about his relationship with the tough-talking Trump.

Trudeau said he respects that Trump is trying to follow through on his promise to “make America great again,” in much the same way that he wants to help Canada.

“The thing that reassures me fundamentally is he got elected on a commitment to help people, to make America great again,” Trudeau said. “The way to help those people is to bring in trade deals and jobs and economic growth that is going to help.”

Trudeau made the gushing remarks even as Trump appears ready to abandon NAFTA (which would crush Canada’s economy).

If Trudeau is changing his once anti-Trump tune, it may be because Canada is now being overrun with illegal immigrants who are fleeing the United States due to Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration.

Hundreds of illegal immigrants from Syria, Haiti, Congo, and other impoverished third-world nations have been crossing the border each day from the U.S. into Canada since Trump took office. These illegals hope Canada’s quasi-socialistic policies will offer them free housing and public assistance.

It’s unclear how much of a strain the barrage of poor, low-skilled illegal aliens will affect Canada’s economy and society. But it will. Just look at how Europe is buckling under the pressure of its unprecedented Muslim refugee crisis.

U.S. Border Patrol agents reacted by saying if illegals want to go to Canada, that’s fine with them. “Our mission isn’t to prevent people from leaving,” said one agent.

Meanwhile, it would be nice if all the “celebrities” who vowed to move to Canada once Trump got elected would also leave.
