Singer Nick Lachey gets involved after female employee was shot in the face on Thanksgiving day

Singer Nick Lachey is asking for help to find the thug who shot his 27-year-old female employee in the face.

“Ellie sustained injuries to her face and jaw resulting from a shooting that occurred early on Thanksgiving morning,” according to a post on YouCaring. “She’s in stable condition, but it’s still unclear how long she’ll be in the hospital and what her recovery process will entail.”

Ellie Richardson is a bartender at Lachey’s sports bar in Cincinnati, Ohio. Authorities say Richardson was walking across the street from the bar at 3 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day when she was nearly hit by a van.

An argument ensued, and that’s when the driver allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Ellie in the face, Fox 19 reported. The young mom sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, and was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Police said the suspect is a black man in his twenties with gold-rimmed glasses and a light beard. The Cincinnati Police Department tweeted a photo of the van the suspect was allegedly driving at the time of the shooting.

Nick Lachey asked the public for help in locating the suspect: “Ellie is the brightest light and she will find a way to shine through this darkness. Anyone with any information, help us find some justice.”

He also tweeted a link to her YouCaring donation page, writing: “Please help Ellie and her family get through this most difficult time.”

Lachey, a former member of the boy band 98 Degrees, opened Lachey’s Bar in 2015 with his brother and former band member Drew Lachey.
