President Donald Trump had an unexpected guest show up at Mar-a-Lago this Thanksgiving weekend–Fox News host Bret Baier.
Collusion? Media bias? There must be something really horrible or fishy going on?
Nope. It was an actual coincidence. So, how did the left handle it?
Fox News statement on this photo:
"Bret Baier and his wife attended a dinner at Mar-a-Lago as a guest of Jack Nicklaus, whose home they were staying at for the weekend. He was asked to take a photo with Nicklaus and the President and obliged." pic.twitter.com/4poD1otcwu

When Baier and Trump ran into each other, they took a moment to pose for a picture that went on to draw the ire of liberals.
The photo was first reported by Jon Levine of The Wrap. In a statement, Fox News said Baier had Thanksgiving dinner at the President’s resort at the invitation of professional golfer Jack Nicklaus, with whom Baier and his wife stayed for the weekend.
Trump golfed with Nicklaus on Saturday at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, AP News reported. The day before, the president hit a few rounds with golfers Tiger Woods, Dustin Johnson, and Brad Faron.

Despite Baier and President Trump’s brief run-in amounting to little more than a friendly photo op and greeting, liberals were quick to signal it as evidence of “media collusion.”

So Jack Nicklaus is a Trump-troll. And Bret Baier is a Trump sycophant…but that we knew https://t.co/O6AksAuwt6

I am sure Baier will always stay neutral in his reporting on Trump and his administration. Fair and balanced joke! https://t.co/6WDeGsccp5

Bret "indictment is imminent" Baier is buddying around with Trump. Who would have thought? https://t.co/HbO1FWA6eI

Baier, Nickless, Tiger, Trump all part of the financially obese whose heirs will benefit from the proposed tax bill

@thehill Coincidence that Bret Baier dined at Mar-A-Lago while Trump was there for dinner too? Silly me! Of course it was no coincidence, Bret Baier wasn’t out sight seeing & just happened to stop there for a burger & fries! Trump’s reward to Baier, free dinner & dirt on CNN!

Anti-Trumpers even accused the president and Baier of being “in bed together.”
Trump has certainly praised Fox News–while vehemently criticizing CNN.

But the president doesn’t have a close relationship with Baier the way he does with other media personalities, such as Sean Hannity.
The last time Trump appeared on “Special Report” was in October of last year. Baier even made an on-air plea for the president to come back on his show, promising to treat him “fairly.”
In their hysteria, liberals apparently forget about the mainstream media’s role as cheerleader for former President Barack Obama.
According to a Pew study, MSM coverage in just the first 60 days of the Trump presidency was 62 percent negative, compared to 20 percent negative for Obama. Even former President George W. Bush only had 28 percent negative coverage in his first 60 days.
Of course, double standards are the standard for the left.
