CBS News and PBS have both pushed out Charlie Rose after The Washington Post reported allegations that he sexually harassed several women.

PBS has “immediately suspended distribution” of the Charlie Rose interview show on its network, saying it was “shocked” by the allegations, and CBS suspended Rose from “CBS This Morning,” ABC News reports.
The Post reported accusations from eight women who say Rose harassed them years ago. Five of the women claim Rose put his hand on their thighs to see how they would react, and two other women say Rose would walk out of his shower naked while they were present.

Rose did not explicitly deny any specific allegations, but said he was embarrassed. “I deeply apologize for my inappropriate behavior,” Rose said.

“In my 45 years in journalism, I have prided myself on being an advocate for the careers of the women with whom I have worked,” Rose said in a statement to The Post. “Nevertheless, in the past few days, claims have been made about my behavior toward some former female colleagues.”
