This reeks of a desperate call for relevance.
In what was surely a pathetic plea for attention, rocker Marilyn Manson pulled a fake rifle on California concert goers on Sunday.
As if his actions weren’t disturbing enough considering the recent Texas massacre that left 26 churchgoers dead and several more critically injured, Manson chose to pull his antics in the city of San Bernardino – the city where 14 were murdered at a workplace Christmas party by radicalized terrorists nearly 2 years ago.
“We know where you f***ing live,” Manson sang as he pointed the fake rifle at audience members throughout his “performance.” Adding to the drama, Manson was pushed in a wheelchair after reportedly suffering a leg injury in September, TMZ reported.

The shock rocker, who often gets political and had previously revealed his support of former President Obama (who reportedly told the FBI to downplay the terror angle of the San Bernardino attack at the time) has a soft spot for gore. While Manson claims he didn’t vote in the 2016 election he did release a music video in 2016 that depicted a decapitated businessman with a striking resemblance to President Trump.
And he seemed all too excited to double down on his sick message gearing up for Sunday’s concert. Note the gun and noose as his “options”:
Sunday is coming! Too many options. I think maybe I’ll skip mass, and head to my concert. pic.twitter.com/4yU7mELZfQ

After backlash over the San Bernardino concert, Manson made the typical celeb excuse for bad decisions and defended his stunt as “art.”
“In an era where mass shootings have become a nearly daily occurrence this was an act of theater in an attempt to make a statement about how easily accessible semi-automatic weapons are and how seeing them has become normalized,” Manson said in a statement to Billboard.
“My art has always been a reaction to popular culture and my way to make people think about the horrible things that happen in this world. My performance was not meant to be disrespectful or show any insensitivity.
While Manson has his loyal fans, his antics don’t seem to producing many new ones:
Disgusting! How do you defend this when there was a mass shooting in that vert city..AND one that just happened!

It’s sad watching him trying to stay relevant.
