Trump responds to Hillary Clinton’s late night admission of campaign funding ‘dirty’ dossier

You knew Trump wasn’t going to let this one slide.

President Trump shot back at Hillary Clinton after she made an appearance on Comedy Central’s, Daily Show. Clinton downplayed and defended that her campaign had paid money for the now infamous “Trump dossier.”

Hillary became briefly wide-eyed while being confronted on the infamous dossier on the Daily Show. Image: Screen shot.

The salacious dossier was concocted to destroy then-candidate Donald Trump, and was eventually debunked as little more than speculative tripe. But since the Clinton campaign and the DNC reportedly paid millions for it, and the Obama administration may have used it as “evidence” to spy on the Trump campaign it has once again become a main focus and raised red flags.

Along with other falsehoods, Hillary brushed off her connection with the Trump dossier as opposition research. And that didn’t sit well with President Trump who blasted Clinton on Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle on Thursday.

“She talked about ‘oppo research is wonderful,'” Trump said, before pointing out the double standard.  “Oppo research for us, of course, is no good. No.”

“That dossier – which is totally fake and made up, it’s like a novel. But that dossier is a disgrace and should not have been allowed to be used,”  Trump told host Laura Ingraham.

Ingraham pointed out that Clinton and the DNC had paid a whopping $9 million to a law firm called Fusion GPS who brokerd the deal for the dossier.

“It’s inconceivable, it’s absolutely inconceivable, it’s horrible,” the president said.  Trump said “they” are tryging to find out where the money trail originated. “And we’ll find out,” he said.

Trump didn’t specify “who” exactly will find out, but there is legal action underway stating the Clinton campaign may have broken the law by not disclosing, and essentially covering-up, the purpose of the payments.

The interview then shifted gears to explosive allegations by former DNC chair Donna Brazile. Brazile came out on Thursday and placed blame for the DNC’s financial woes squarely on Hillary, Obama and former campaign manager Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Brazile’s accusations have also reignited questions about Hillary’s control over the primary election and the calculated take down of her Dem rival Bernie Sanders.
