A three-year old girl from Alabama died on Saturday after she fell into a grease pit while out with her family to get ice cream.

Her parents described Sadie Grace Andrews as a loving child who was a “little blonde bundle of joy,” AL.com reported.

“We know without a shadow of a doubt, our baby is with Jesus,” Corrie Andrews, her mother, told AL.com.

“Her name means ‘God’s thoughtful princess,'” her mother said, fighting tears. “And she really was that — always expressing gratefulness and love for God and other people. She would light up a room with her smile; she walked with a skip in her step. I’ve never met a more joyful child who loved God with all her heart.”

The tragedy happened at Bruster’s Real Ice Cream where, according to video, Sadie Grace was playing with two siblings when she fell into the grease pit, through a lid that was covering it, AL.com reported.

Sadie’s parents first reported her missing as they searched to find her, until they discovered her body in the six-foot trap.

An employee of Bruster’s attempted to revive Sadie, and police performed CPR on her when they arrived, but it was to no avail.

The young girl had 5 siblings, Piper, 6, four-year-old Cason, and Ryder and Judson, twins who will be two-years-old in November.

“Sabrina and Piper said she made playing games fun,” Andrews told AL.com on Sunday. “This is really, really hard for them. Our kids love each other.”

Chad Vermillion, Sadie’s uncle, created a YouCaring fundraiser to help the family with funeral expenses.
