After facing major backlash from Twitter users, political analyst and former Democratic National Committee chairwoman Donna Brazile, deleted a five-day old tweet in which she praised the Weinstein Company for having “taken the lead against sexual harassment and assault.”
Brazile, most famous for resigning from her job at CNN after it was discovered she fed debate questions to the Clinton campaign, may have thought she was scoring points for lauding the Weinstein Company when they fired their founder over allegations of sexual harassment and assault.
But things just keep going downhill for Brazile, whose tweet is more insulting to sexual harassment victims when juxtaposed with the latest news.

It turns out Weinstein’s contract allowed for him to engage in sexual harassment without being fired, as first reported by TMZ.
A special clause specifies that if Weinstein were sued for sexual harassment resulting in a settlement or judgement against the Weinstein Company, the devious producer would simply have to pay the company a fine and business would continue as usual.
“You [Weinstein] will pay the company liquidated damages of $250,000 for the first such instance, $500,000 for the second such instance, $750,000 for the third such instance, and $1,000,000 for each additional instance,” the contract reads.

Technically, the Weinstein Company’s firing of their eponymous founder was illegal, since Weinstein didn’t break those terms.
His contract effectively proves that The Weinstein Company knew he was a serial offender.

Naturally, this raises the question: why would the Weinstein Company specifically include a sexual harassment clause in the producer’s contract?
The obvious answer: the likely knew what was going on, despite their claims to the contrary.
Maybe Brazile should have kept her thoughts to herself. What do you expect from one of the people who helped drive the Democrat Party into the ground?
Sorry, Donna. The American people aren’t going to let you live this down.
You’d think the Weinstein Co. could have fed @donnabrazile the answer early.
