Profession of ‘mystery woman’ seen with Las Vegas shooter confirmed by officials

Investigators are withholding her name, but have officially confirmed a key detail about a mystery woman who was seen with Las Vegas mass murderer Stephen Paddock just days before he opened fire on concert-goers from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort.

According to ABC News, she’s a hooker.

Officials have followed up over a thousand leads, according to ABC News, including a piece of paper with a series of numbers written on it, but are no closer to figuring out Paddock’s motive than they were right after the rampage.

Investigators confirmed that some of the thousands of rounds of ammunition brought into the room were bought under another name, but they are also “very confident” that Paddock was the only shooter.

“We’re very confident that there was not another shooter in that room. What I cannot confirm to you today and what we continue to investigate is whether anyone else would have known about this incident before he carried it out,” Las Vegas Metro Police Department Undersheriff Kevin McMahill told reporters.

The unnamed “mystery hooker” was not believed by investigators to have been inside the room before or during the shootings.

“I’m also confident that there were no other people in the room leading up to this event,” said McMahill.
