Sorority sisters at the University of New Hampshire are under fire for doing what people around the world do every day: Sing along with their favorite songs.
Members of the Alpha Phi sorority drew volcanic backlash after being slammed on Facebook by a race-baiting, grievance-mongering group called All Eyes on UNH (see post at right).
“This is a showcase of ignorance and the Panhellenic Council should do better in combating racism,” the FB post read. “The first step is addressing willful ignorance. #RacistUNH”
A video clip shows the Alpha Phi sorority girls having fun and singing along to the Kanye West rap hit “Gold Digger,” whose lyrics repeat the refrain: “She ain’t messing with no broke niggas.”

Many African-Americans accused the sorority girls of being racist. Why? For celebrating the Grammy-winning song of a popular black rapper.
When “Gold Digger” came out in 2005, it sold millions of copies, won several awards, and was No. 1 on the music charts for 10 weeks straight. That means millions of people probably sang along to its lyrics.
Should we accuse them all of being racist? That’s the double-standard lunacy the radical left is trafficking in now.

British journalist Piers Morgan, a former CNN host, defended the Alpha Phi sorority sisters, saying they did nothing wrong. It’s ridiculous that someone even has to “defend” these kids for having fun and doing what people do every day around the world.
“What utter nonsense!” Morgan wrote at the Daily Mail. “Even by the pathetically easily offended snowflake standards of modern day U.S. campuses, this is ridiculous. How can it possibly be racist to sing along to a song that was No. 1 in America for TEN WEEKS?”
Morgan continued: “Even among black people there is disagreement as to whether the word ‘nigga’ is actually a racist or offensive term at all … I doubt any of [the girls] gave it a moment’s thought when Kanye’s song ‘Gold Digger’ began playing, and certainly not any racist thought. They’re young, free and partying.”
Morgan said if people don’t want fans to sing along to such lyrics, recording artists shouldn’t write them. “They didn’t write the song, Kanye West did. They didn’t make millions of dollars from that song, Kanye West did.”
Predictably, Piers Morgan was attacked by liberals for saying fans shouldn’t get in trouble for repeating the lyrics someone else wrote.

Meanwhile, these same leftist grievance mongers said nothing when rapper XXXTentacion hanged a little white boy in a music video for his racially-charged rap song “Look at Me.”
If today’s radical left insists on being PC Nazis, they have to apply the same standards to themselves. Otherwise, it’s just more moonbat hypocrisy that erodes whatever shred of credibility they have left.
