‘Duck Dynasty’ star Sadie Robertson calls fans to pray for President Trump, sends him a personal message

“I’m cheering you on.”

Sadie Robertson offered President Trump a heartfelt message of support and asked her fans to join her in a prayer for him.

“I’m going to pray over our nation. I’m going to pray over our president,” the “Duck Dynasty” star announced in a video on YouTube titled “Prayer for Our Country.”

“Please join me in this prayer,” she asked viewers, directing them to “encourage him on Twitter.

“I don’t even like Twitter,” the former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant clarified. “But that’s obviously where Trump is.”

As many of Robertson’s generation take to social media and college campuses to protest everything and anything the president does, the 20-year-old whose family have been vocal Trump supporters, urged her fans to show the president some love.

“Let’s send Trump some love. It’s not about what he deserves. It’s not about that. It’s about what we believe,” she said, adding a personal message to the president.

“Mr. Trump, if you’re watching this, I am rooting you on, and I wanted to let you know I believe the best in you,” Robertson said. “I think you have a lot on your hands and I think you have a lot on your plate and I know that must be very, very, very hard but as an American citizen I’m cheering you on.”

The young star declared she wanted to “help shape the passion and the love” of her generation, adding that she did not want to waste time “on things that are not making a difference.”

In her prayer in the more than three-minute video, Robertson dismissed the thoughts of what people would think of her for posting it, saying she “so desperately” just wants “this country to come together.” She also prayed for protection for America against coming storms and even missiles being launched.

Robertson’s love of God and country seemed to resonate with viewers who left feedback on the video which has been seen nearly 25,000 times.

“I think it’s awesome that you pray for our President. Whether or not you agree with him we should all be praying for him and this country,” one YouTube subscriber wrote. and another added, “This is fantastic, especially coming from the people of this generation.”

“Yes! Let’s stand by our president! Let’s quit hating on him and stand by him and lift him up! Great word Sadie,” one person wrote.

“As an immigrant, sure, I don’t necessarily agree with some of the decisions President and his administration make. Please don’t start an argument with me or debate. I am, however, also a Christian. I love the Lord. And God says to pray for those that persecute you,” another user shared. “So yes, I will pray for my president. Whether I agree with his decisions or not, I love him as God loves me. I pray for my country. God loves the people in this country. I love people. Why? Because God loves people.”
