Ignorant Miss Texas panders to liberals at Miss America Pageant by slamming Trump, still loses

The 2018 Miss America Pageant was an anti-Trump slam-fest, with contestants taking turns trashing President Donald Trump.

The petty jabs weren’t surprising, since the Miss America pageant is a poor man’s version of the Miss USA Pageant, which Trump owned from 1996 until 2015. The Miss Universe Pageant (which Trump also previously owned) operates both the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants.

Miss America is a scholarship pageant, while Miss USA is a beauty pageant, which is why Miss USA contestants look like supermodels and not your average high school homecoming queen.

Miss Texas Margana Wood blasted Trump in response to a biased, leading question by liberal People magazine editor Jess Cagle.

Cagle asked: “Last month, a demonstration of neo-Nazis, white supremacists and KKK in Charlottesville, Virginia turned violent and a counter protester was killed. The president said there was shared blame with ‘very fine people’ on both sides. Were there? Tell me yes or no, and explain.”

Wood replied: “It was very obvious it was a terrorist attack. And I think that President Donald Trump should have made a statement earlier addressing the fact, and making sure all Americans feel safe in the country. That’s the No 1 issue right now.”

Predictably, Miss Texas was hailed a hero by leftists on social media. But Wood got trashed by Trump supporters, who called her clueless for refusing to acknowledge that Trump condemned the violence of both the Antifa rioters and the racist white supremacists.

Naturally, liberals thought the president should not have condemned the alt-left Antifa thugs, even though they started the violence.

Despite pandering to the Miss America pageant’s liberal judges, Margana Wood lost the title to fellow anti-Trumper Cara Mund of South Dakota. Mund took her own dig at President Trump by criticizing his decision to withdraw the United States from the Paris Climate Accord.

“I do believe it’s a bad decision,” Mund bleated. “Once we reject that, we take ourselves out of the negotiation table and that’s something that we really need to keep in mind. There is evidence that climate change is existing, so whether you believe it or not, we need to be at that table.”

Meanwhile, keep in mind that climate change was happening thousands of years before man made a single carbon footprint on Earth.

Similarly, Category 4/5 hurricanes have occurred since the 1800s. Chew on that.
