A victim of Hurricane Harvey tore into CNN on live television for interviewing people who have just had their lives destroyed.
At first the mother, while holding her two children, told reporter Rosa Flores the story of how she was stranded for days with no one coming to help them before finally being rescued.
But the woman, who had just arrived at the shelter and was in tears, eventually lost her composure.
″We walked through four feet (of water) to go get them food on the first day,” the distraught woman, named Danielle, told Flores. ”Yeah, that’s a lot of shit.”
″But y’all trying to interview people during their worst times,” she continued. “Like that’s not the smartest thing to do. Like people are really breaking down and y’all here with cameras and microphones trying to ask us what the f*ck is wrong with us.”
Flores apologized several times but kept sticking the microphone back in the woman’s face.
“And you really trying to understand with the microphone still in my face! With me shivering cold, with my kids wet! And you’re still putting a microphone in my face!” she fumed.
Jim Acosta, who was serving as the anchor for that broadcast, cut away from the interview with one of the biggest understatements of the year.
“It sounds like you’ve got a very upset family there,” he said.
You think, Jim?

My heart breaks for this woman and her family. CNN sees only how it can be the story.
