Regan is HOT about Dems ruining our country to punish Trump: ‘You guys are taking it too far, here’

Fox Business Network anchor Trish Regan confronted a Democratic guest on her show about how his party has taken the nation “back into the Dark Ages” with their anti-Trump rhetoric.

And she was fired up!

Regan reviewed recent examples of the negative verbiage being spewed against the president such as Missouri State Sen. Maria Chapelle-Nadal stating that she hoped Trump would be assassinated.

“Can you believe that?” Regan asked in disbelief Friday during her FBN show, “The Intelligence Report,” which airs at 2:00 pm on weekdays.

Regan, a former anchor at Bloomberg, CNBC and CBS Evening News before joining FBN in 2011, went on to blast the Democratic National Committee and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi for calling departing White House strategist Steve Bannon a white supremacist.

Regan condemned some in the Democratic Party for taking their anti-Trump rhetoric to a “whole new level.”

“So they have a playbook. This is the agenda they’re trying to advance,” she said, turning to her guest, former DNC staffer Pablo Manriquez.

“You guys are taking it too far here,” she told him. “We as a nation have come so far and you’re bringing us right back into the Dark Ages with this kind of rhetoric. You know that.”

Manriquez countered by arguing that president’s plan to hold a rally in Phoenix, Arizona is an example of how he is “spiraling out of control.” He also noted that Chapelle-Nadal’s comment was “absolutely wrong” and added that he “wholeheartedly” condemned it.

“She’s calling for the assassination of the president! You should condemn it!” an incredulous Regan reacted.

Regan’s other guest, former Bush speechwriter Ned Ryun, jumped in point out how the left’s “festering poison of identity politics” has “come to the surface.”

“Hate is hate and violence is violence,” he said,  comparing anti-fascist rioters to Nazi Brownshirts and telling Manriquez that Democrats need to disavow them.

“Pablo, you see what your party is doing,” Regan said as the former DNC official argued that Trump is “completely isolated” following his remarks over the violence that erupted last week in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Regan admitted that Trump’s reaction and choice of words was “poor” and he should have “shut it down” but it is Democrats who are now fueling the fire of hate.

“But instead, the media egged him on and egged him on and he kept going back,” Regan said, but pointed out that now the focus is on how Democrats are acting.

“Your party’s rhetoric,” an exasperated Regan asked, “doesn’t it just feed that beast?”

“Let’s not forget the history of the Democratic Party,” she concluded. “They have not been on the side of African Americans from a historical perspective.”
