Tough news for GOP Gov who reportedly feels a ‘moral imperative’ to primary Trump

As if things are not chaotic enough, “Morning Joe” co-host Willie Geist is looking to stir things up even more.

…because there’s a “moral imperative” to replace President Donald Trump in 2020.

Seizing on the controversy over Trump’s response to the violent protests in Charlottesville, where the president had the audacity to remind the press that there were two sides engaged in the violence, Geist posted a tweet suggesting a primary challenger for Trump in 2020.

“NEW: Sources close to tell me, after Charlottesville, there is growing sense of “moral imperative” to primary Trump in 2020,” he tweeted.

But if Ohio Gov. John Kasich is considering primarying Trump, he apparently didn’t look at the polls.

A new Marist poll out Tuesday ran this potential match-up in the GOP primary and Trump easily prevailed, garnering 64 percent of the vote, compared to just 23 percent for Kasich.

According to the results, it would appear the media has a lot more smearing to do if they hope to be done with Trump in 2020.

Former TV personality Montel Williams is all in for a Kasich run, but he’s concerned that 2020 may never come.

“Enthusiastically hope runs – I’ll enthusiastically vote for him, but someone needs to explain to me how we make it to 2020,” he tweeted:
