After his hasty ouster as White House communications director on Monday, Anthony Scaramucci was reportedly escorted off White House grounds.
According to CNN’s Jeff Zelany, who appeared on Monday with host Brooke Baldwin to discuss the dismissal, Scaramucci was “essentially escorted off the White House property earlier this afternoon.”

Zelany also said that Chief of Staff John Kelly decided to dismiss him for a lack of “discipline” that culminated in a profanity-laced tirade to The New Yorker’s Ryan Lizza.

“We are told by our producers, our team, that he was escorted off,” Zelany said. “That’s not necessarily unusual. If someone is no longer working here, he has no reason to be here. We are told he was escorted off the property earlier this afternoon. The question is what happens next?”
CBS’s Jackie Alemany also confirmed the report via Twitter:
Reports of how Scaramucci exit went down revealed to public … and it sounds brutal

Needless to say, Twitter users made plenty of hay out of Scaramucci’s rocky tenure and abrupt dismissal.

Thank you Anthony @Scaramucci for your service. I speak for a grateful nation when I say “has it really only been 11 days?!?” https://t.co/78ZEWLYrjC

In all seriousness, this is a sad story. Not a laugher. Guy sold his company, divorced his wife, didn’t see his kid's birth, for…. this.
