Older hero customer goes WWE with a chair and bare hands on knife-wielding, masked Starbucks robber

Don’t mess with crazy old guys.

When Ryan Flores carried a toy gun and a knife into a Northwest Fresno Starbucks and demanded money from the barista, he probably didn’t expect to get the full-fledged WWE treatment, chair and all, from a hero customer.

Recently released surveillance footage shows Flores walking in, waving his weapons around and demanding the money. Then, suddenly, customer Cregg Jerri took a metal chair to Flores’ back.

A fight quickly ensued during which Flores stabbed Jerri in the neck but also got disarmed and stabbed himself by the hero customer.

“It’s not something we recommend,” said Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer. “In this case it was a good outcome– no one died as a result of this incident, but very well could have. But nonetheless, he’s a hero– there’s no question.”

Fortunately, Jerri is reportedly going to recover from his wounds, according to ABC30.

Flores fled the scene, but was caught soon after and admitted to his crime.
