MSNBC’s Joy Reid leads theory that Team Trump is behind new leak of Sessions’ Russian intercepts

The latest Deep State leak regarding the Trump Administration and Russia came courtesy of the Washington Post on Friday afternoon. It involved communications between Sergey Kislyak and his Moscow bosses in which the Russian Ambassador described his two now-famous conversations with U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions while Sessions was still a senator.

The intercepts, captured by U.S. spy agencies and leaked to the Washington Post, describe Kislyak’s version of his interactions with Sessions. According to the Post:

One U.S. official said that Sessions — who testified that he has no recollection of an April encounter — has provided “misleading” statements that are “contradicted by other evidence.” A former official said that the intelligence indicates that Sessions and Kislyak had “substantive” discussions on matters including Trump’s positions on Russia-related issues and prospects for U.S.-Russia relations in a Trump administration.

So in other words, all media-manufactured bluster aside, neither the Trump Administration nor a pre-Trump Administration Jeff Sessions colluded with Russia to hack the election.

Sessions testified in June that he had “never met with or had any conversation with any Russians or any foreign officials concerning any type of interference with any campaign or election in the United States,” adding, “furthermore, I have any known knowledge of any such conversations by anyone connected to the Trump campaign.”

Of course, that won’t stop the Leftist conspiracy theorists, including MSNBC’s Joy Reid, from trying to draw inferences from this particular nothingburger. Here’s Reid’s latest theory:

Reid then added several more layers to her tin foil hattery:

If only, Joy. Sadly, RINO Republicans are just as fond of this Russia red herring as the Democrats are.

Hmm, overthink much? We’ll have to see how this plays out, but Reid’s prognostications certainly drew quite a bit of Twitter attention, mostly from fellow libs.

Buuut….

Nope, sorry … try again!
And there IS this, which pretty much blows Reid’s theory out of the water:

But nice try!
