‘Delusional’ Maxine Waters floats she’ll run for president on one condition

This woman is giving new meaning to the word “delusional.”

Rep. Maxine Waters first denied rumors that she is considering a bid for the White House but admitted she would run for the high office “if the millennials want me to.”

A scheduled speech in New Hampshire this weekend raised some eyebrows as speculation arose that the California Democrat was testing the climate for a 2020 presidential bid. But the darling of liberal progressives denied any such plans when asked by The Daily Caller on Thursday.

“I’m just going up to do a county Democratic thing. That’s all,” she said.

New Hampshire, the site of the first US primary in an election season, is usually seen as a weather vane for potential candidates to try out their message on voters. Waters is scheduled to headline a picnic fundraiser Sunday for the Stafford County Democratic Committee, according to New Hampshire’s WMUR.

“I’m not running for anything but my own seat,” Waters insisted to the Daily Caller. “I don’t have any presidential aspirations.”

But the outspoken critic of President Trump qualified her answer.

“If the millennials want me to do it, I’d do it, though,” she revealed.

Waters is currently serving her 14th term in the House of Representatives, having been re-elected in 2016 by  her district covering south central Los Angeles. Thanks to her ant-Trump rhetoric and her months-long rant to impeach the president, Waters has become a favorite for the young generation which has embraced her with nicknames and internet memes.

“I have been adopted by the millennials, and I’m enjoying every minute of it!” she told the New York Times’ Ana Marie Cox in an interview published Wednesday.

I’m learning a new language,” she continued.  “You never think about shade, for example, other than, you know, ‘’a tree is providing shade,’ but when they taught me what shade was, I thought: Now, isn’t that creative?”

And just like the entitled and petulant millennials who adore her, Waters apparently is not actually seeking constructive dialogue in the interest of all Americans. When asked by the Times what she would like to say to President Trump in a private conversation, her response was classic.

I would not waste my time,” she said.

Of course, Democrats and those on the left would not be the only ones excited about Waters running for president. Waters as the Democratic nominee against Trump running for re-election in 2020 would be a dream come true for conservatives as well – but for entirely different reasons.

At 78 years old, Waters would be 82 at her own inauguration in January 2021 if she won the White House. That would beat Trump who was 70 when inaugurated and currently holds the record as the oldest incoming US president.

Reporter defies WH and livestreams audio briefing, but did she REALLY think this through?
