Valerie Jarrett & lib disgust with Ben Carson’s take on conquering poverty is very telling on Dem Party

Talk about “resistance!”

Liberals are in an uproar after Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson said poverty was more or less “a state of mind.”

…the outrage being led by former President Barack Obama’s right hand woman.

Carson, who grew up in poverty, made the comment in a SiriusXM radio interview out this week, which is more about a hand up than a hand out.

“You take somebody that has the right mindset, you take everything from them and put them on the street and I guarantee in a little while they’ll be right back up there,” the Trump cabinet member said. “And you take somebody with the wrong mindset, you can give them everything in the world, they’ll work their way right back down to the bottom.”

Carson went on to state what we all know to be true, that it’s all about one’s attitude.

“You know, that’s real poverty. If you don’t have that defeatist attitude, there’s hope for you.”

“I think the majority of people don’t have that defeatist attitude, but they sometimes just don’t see the way and that’s where government can come in, and be very helpful. It can provide a ladder of opportunity, it can provide the mechanism that we demonstrate to them what can be done.”

But Democrats can’t have anyone thinking like this, what’s likely to come next, self reliance? The end of the entitlement class that makes up their base?

Valerie Jarrett took to social media to register her disgust, falling back on a staple of the left: crocodile tears for the children.

And, oh, did the hate flow from liberals who think they know more than a man who rose up from poverty — morally superior liberals who feel qualified to call a man who was once a leading neurosurgeon “ignorant.”

Not that Carson didn’t have some supporters, as seen here:

It wouldn’t be at all surprising if most of the backlash came from folks who didn’t even bother to read the article or listen to the interview, let alone try to comprehend it with an open mind. Perhaps, these Twitter users summed it up best on why the comment made folks on the left so instantly furious.

Bingo. The indoctrination runs deep.
