‘This house belongs to the people’: Melania Trump opens part of White House to visitors for first time ever

For the first time, first lady Melania Trump opened up the White House movie theater to East Wing visitors.

“The White House belongs to the people of this country,” Trump said in a statement. “I believe everyone who takes the time to visit and tour the White House should have as much access to its rich history and wonderful traditions as possible. It is my hope that our visitors truly enjoy the newest piece of the tour.”

The first lady posted a photo of the theater, which evolved from a cloak room in 1942, on social media, along with the caption:

“Self-guided tours in the East Wing now include the @WhiteHouse movie theater! This house belongs to the people & everyone deserves to enjoy its history!”

Of course, the last time a Trump family member shared a glimpse of recreational options at the White House — as seen below — haters unleashed on the first family.
