Fed judge orders release of Hillary’s Benghazi emails; Judicial Watch poses chilling question for Trump

The State Department was ordered by a federal judge to release emails stored on Hillary Clinton’s private email server relating to the 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, according to the Daily Caller.

Two emails with the subject line “Quick Summary of POTUS Calls to Presidents of Libya and Egypt” were sent just two days after the attack occurred at an American embassy in Benghazi, Libya that resulted in four Americans losing their lives.

Judicial Watch, the conservative watchdog group responsible for exposing a majority of Hillary Clinton’s emails while she was Secretary of State, led the court battle for these new emails to be released.

“The full emails may reveal what former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Obama knew about the Sept. 11, 2012, terror attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi,” Judicial Watch said in a prepared statement.

As reported by the Daily Caller:

The records were released after Judicial Watch sued the State Department following its claim the “deliberative process” exemption under the Freedom of Information Act justified redaction.

The Department of Justice asked the court to keep the emails secret and argued that they accidentally failed to withhold the material because it contains classified material, but U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia Judge Amy Berman Jackson ordered the release after reviewing the records.

Judicial Watch argued the failure “was part of a deliberate effort by the State Department to protect Clinton and the agency by avoiding identifying emails on Clinton’s unofficial, non-secure email server as classified.”

Tom Fitton, Judicial Watch president, asked: “does President Trump know his State and Justice Departments are still trying to provide cover for Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama?”

Fitton added that an “extraordinary court ruling that could result in key answers about the Benghazi outrage is being opposed by the Trump administration. This may well be an example of the ‘deep state’ trying to get away with a cover up – if so, then the Trump administration must put a stop to it.”
