President Trump was interviewed by CBS’s John Dickerson over the weekend, during which Trump cut the interview short after Dickerson asked about “Russian connections” four times in a row.
Leftist Stephen Colbert didn’t like that.
“Donald Trump, John Dickerson is a fair-minded journalist and one of the most competent people who will ever walk into your office,” Colbert said. “John Dickerson has way too much dignity to trade insults with the President of the United States’ face. But I, sir, am no John Dickerson.”
Colbert followed that up by hurling a gay sex remark towards president Trump to his audience.
Warning: Colbert’s remarks are vile

Fortunately, this did not sit well with people as many prominent names across social media slammed Colbert for his disgusting remarks.

Imagine for a second that a conservative made that exact same statement about former president Barack Obama. If any conservative, let alone one that hosts a late night show, made a remark like this about a Democrat, they would more than likely be forced to resign or apologize.
If a late night host had said this about Obama, every activist group in the country would be calling for their job – and they'd get it. https://t.co/RuG57k2jUF

In case you thought the dialogue in our country couldn't get worse – or more crude. This is awful. https://t.co/qSjChQbxVY

Others made note of how this type of vile language is something Democrats continue to adopt in the era of Trump.
Using this kind of language towards anyone, especially a sitting president, is not going to sit well with voters. We saw that during the 2016 presidential elections when they rejected the ideology and politics of the Left.

Thankfully, people aren’t letting Colbert’s comments go unnoticed.
For the record, Colbert has not apologized for his comments amid backlash.
