Curious tweet sparks major speculation on ‘real’ reason Tom Brady skipped White House visit

There has been plenty of speculation about why New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady didn’t accompany his team Wednesday during the customary visit to the White House for Super Bowl champions.

Brady, the game’s most valuable player, skipped the ceremony, citing family matters — his mother, who has been battling a health ailment for the last 18 months, is said to be in town.

And despite the fact that Brady supported President Donald Trump and had a “Make America Great Again” hat in his locker at one point, anti-Trump forces were quick to make political hay of Brady’s absence.

Taking their lead from the New York Times, which tweeted out a misleading photo of Wednesday’s visit, detractors highlighted a tweet from Brady’s wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

Bundchen, who has made it clear in the past she’s no fan of Trump, shared a link to the “People’s Climate March,” which is set to take place on Trump’s 100th day in office and targets his administration.

The tweet has since been deleted, but that only served to further fuel the rumor mongering.

And for what it’s worth, Brady also skipped his team’s 2015 White House visit when former President Barack Obama was in office.

Nevertheless some social media users seem to believe Brady is a whipped husband… here a sampling of responses from Twitter:
