Heavily-armed Muslim man threatens conservative conference; now wonders, what’s the big deal?

Police in South Dakota were on high alert after an armed Muslim man with multiple firearms attended a conservative conference.

The man, who has not been arrested, posted videos on his Facebook page of the multiple assault-style rifles, pistols and ammunition that he had in his van and carried on himself as he attended the April 9 event in Sioux Falls, The Daily Caller reported.

“And now if you want to really be scared…” Ehab Jaber said in the video as he lifted up an AK-47 style rifle, “be scared.”

Repeating “be scared,” he displayed two handguns hidden on himself and others in the van.

“Be f***ing terrified,” Jaber said,  taking an assault-style AR-15 variant out of its case.

The conference, hosted by the Christian radio program Worldview Weekend, frustrated Jaber who said the organizer was “capitalizing on everybody’s f***ing fears so he can sell f***ing books… you f***ing people believe anything.”

The Sioux Falls meeting was part of a series of conferences being held by Worldview Weekend in South Dakota and Wisconsin.

“I’d better get the f*** out of here before the cops come,” Jaber said in one video. “Holy s**t! White America is f***ing terrified man!” he said as he drove out of the event parking lot, panning the lot with his camera.

Police in the area were put on high alert after the video was seen, according to Worldview Weekend producer and radio host Brannon Howse.

“We were told by the police in Green Bay that the FBI had put out a warning to the different Homeland security Fusion Centers in the various cities [where] we were going to be. In Madison they put 4 to 5 cars around the event facility without us even asking,” Howse told The Daily Caller.

“I was in five cities in five nights and we didn’t want to stir up more protests or scare people away. I wanted to get home and be safe first and not bring out the more crazy people that would threaten our conference or my family,” he said when asked by Daily Caller why he had not reported the incident earlier.

The Sioux Falls Police Department said that Jaber had a concealed carry permit in the state which allows open carry of firearms.

“He was approached by police while in the event, and acknowledged that he was carrying weapons,” Sioux Falls police officer Sam Clemens told the Daily Caller.  “The police informed him that firearms were not allowed in the event and was asked to leave. He complied.”

Jaber, who was questioned by South Dakota law enforcement as well as the FBI, reportedly told police he was unhappy with a speaker invited to the event.

A former Iranian Muslim, Shahram Hadian, was a featured speaker at the conference. Now a Christian pastor, Hadian, whose family fled Iran, gave a presentation in Sioux Falls titled, “Sabotaging America: Islam’s March Toward Supremacy.”

Howse also gave a talk at the event titled, “The Growing Global Persecution of Christians,” in which he described how “Islamic Centers, Neo-Marxists, Neo-Evangelicals, the Vatican and globalists are working together to subvert our immigration laws and transform America.”

Jaber has been busy on Facebook trying to downplay his actions that have gone viral. While he has many supporters, he’s facing a lot of tough questions from folks who are not amused by his actions.
