Huma Abedin is set to tell everything about her boss’ failed presidential campaign and her husband’s sexcapades if the price is right.
The former top aide to Hillary Clinton in her doomed second bid for the presidency, and wife of renowned pervert, and ex-Congressman, Anthony Weiner, is shopping the book and looking to nab $2 million for it, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Clinton has given her longtime aide and friend the thumbs up to go ahead with the book.
But the big question is; will she tell enough to bring in the big payday?
It “is envisioned as a reflection on how her personal and professional lives collided during the campaign,” according to the Reporter.
“She’s more interesting than her husband. We know who he is. She’s the ongoing mystery,” Julian Zelizer, a presidential historian at Princeton University, told the Hollywood Reporter. “But she’ll have to put herself out there. That’s what the publisher will be looking for.”
Abedin’s book is expected to draw interest because of how infrequently she speaks publicly. But its success will depend a great deal on how much she is willing to tell.
And not every publisher wants the book.
“No one would have approached me with this book because they know I’m not a Hillary fan. I’m an Obama fan,” Esther Newberg, of ICM Partners, said. “This will be an interesting sale to see who wants to know what [Weiner] said to her each time he was caught. If she reveals a lot, it turns your stomach. If she doesn’t, she puts the publisher in a bad place.”
There’s no guarantee Abedin is going to give any of the sordid details of her husband’s extramarital transgressions, including sending explicit texts to an underage girl, as the couple has been trying to mend fences.
