After eleven hours of confirmation hearings, everyone needed a good laugh.
Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse provided a welcome respite for Judge Neil Gorsuch and everyone present during the Supreme Court confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Gorsuch, who has been nominated by President Donald Trump to fill the seat of the late Justice Antonin Scalia, had just been grilled by Sen. Al Franken when Sasse stepped up.

“My wife also sent me a text a little bit ago and said – and I’m sure she didn’t expect me to read it, but – ‘how in the world is Gorsuch able to go so many hours at a time without peeing?’” Sasse said as he read the text message from his phone.
Gorsuch, and the room, erupted into laughter.
“I won’t make you answer,” Sasse added, “but the SCOTUS bladder is something the whole country stands in awe of.”
